After completing the Institute Diploma in Fine Art at Southampton Institute and a BA (Hons) Fine Art from West Surrey College of Art and Design (Farnham) I went on to have several solo shows in London, Winchester, Southampton University and Cheshire as well as being selected for group shows in London and around the country. 

The paintings have been used by Ashgate Publishing for the jackets of twenty books in a series on theology.

I let the paint take the lead in that I respond to what is happening on the canvas. I start with an idea of the sort of composition I’m interested in, together with the colours and marks I intend to use, then I watch intently and if something more interesting is happening I’ll follow that. This seems to enable the outcome to reflect something subconscious which imbues the work with the nature of a visual diary.
